Creamy festive cheesecake in red, white, and blue!
16 servings
Crust ingredients:
15 graham cracker squares, crushed (I've found that crushing them with a rolling pin works best)
2 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
Cheesecake ingredients:
4 (8 oz.) packages cream cheese
1 1/2 Cups white sugar
3/4 Cup milk
4 Eggs
1 Cup sour cream
1 Tablespoon vanilla extract
1/4 Cup all-purpose flour
red and blue food coloring
1. Make crust by mixing graham cracker crumbs with melted butter. Press on the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan.
2. In a large bowl, mix cream cheese with sugar until smooth. Blend in milk, and then mix in eggs one at a time, mixing just enough to incorporate. Mix in sour cream, vanilla, and flour until smooth.
3. At this point put 1/2 of the batter, divided equally, into two bowls. Using red and blue food coloring, color the two smaller portions the appropriate color. Make sure you use enough coloring to where the batter turns fully that color.

4. Pour the white batter into the prepared pan and put spoonfulls of the colored batter on top. Swirl with the tip of a knife.
5. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Chill for at least 6 hours before serving. When slicing, dip knife in warm water inbetween cutting and wipe off so you don't get a pile up around each slice.

This recipe and photos were submitted by guest chef Olivia McEntire! She says, "This was pretty close to perfect-tasting in my estimation! I would rate it an 8."
