The most recent poll has just been added: Where will you be spending Thanksgiving day? And yes, my non-American friends have an option for voting. ;)
Thank you for praying for my brother's heart. He seems to be doing fine now and will be taking a number of steps (seeing a cardiologist, reducing stress, etc.) to hopefully reduce the occurrence of future symptoms. We don't know much right now, because various tests haven't even been done. :) I'll update if the situation changes! :)
You know, I had good intentions of writing all sorts of things tonight. But it just isn't going to happen!
I've been working on housecleaning. I have been up to my ears in dishes, because I skipped washing them for a day! And with all the baking and cooking I've been doing, it's hard to catch back up!
And my kitchen counter, which I usually never let get all cluttered... well, the clutter is currently "eating" half my counter! Not good at all! I have a long to-do list for tomorrow, and I NEED to get it all done, too! Because the next day is Thanksgiving and then the day after that, we get company for 3 days! Yay!!

Odds and ends
Dearest Tammy: I share your grief with the dishes. I am in exactly the same situation and now I am going to tackle them....pray for me.

Happy Thanksgiving
I am more of a lurker on here than anything, but I really love this site, it has that "homey" feeling too it. ;-)
Just wanted to wish you and your family a very happy and blessed Thanksgivng Tammy!!! We as Christians have so much to be greatfull for!
My kitchen is cluttery, but my living room is a disaster zone...I brought up all the Christmas boxes from the basement and have been slowly putting stuff up... My hubby doesn't care about the mess though. Tomorrow we will make the turkey, stuffing, corn, mashed potatoes and rolls and I am making an Oreo pie for dessert. ;-) I can't wait!!! We'll put up the tree and watch the Macys Thanksgiving Parade and maybe start Christmas cards, at least getting the envelopes addresses if nothing else. ;-)
Anyways I am rambling as I usually do during the holidays...sorry. ;-)
Love,
Dawn
Thanksgiving cleaning
We are having several friends over for Thanksgiving dinner tonight - one friend works as a nurse and is scheduled for Thanksgiving day - and I'm coming to the conclusion that there is no better motivation to really tidy up your house than when you are going to have company!
I saw you on the livejournal community crnchychristian, and really enjoy your recipe blog. I tried the pumpkin rolls today and YUM. I just had my entire trial batch for lunch. *blushes* It was "only" 4 rolls, but still...Good thing I am saving the rest to bake right before dinner, otherwise my poor guests would miss out on the rolls!
Thanks for the recipes and the frugal living tips. Keep up the good work!
Dishes, etc...
Oh, I hope you all got out from under your mounds of dishes... that is the unpleasant part of doing a lot of cooking... about the time you're exhausted from the cooking part, it's time for clean-up! :)
Thanks for your comments, Dawn and Valerie! Yes, company is good motivation for cleaning! :) And cooking! :)
