My husband is taking the older boys to a restaurant with his family for Thanksgiving. It will be TOO crowded, hot and germy for my precious 6 week old so I will be home with him. I plan to TIVO the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade, make some tea, curl up with a blanket, the babe and my tea and enjoy my parade in a QUIET house! Aaahhhhhh.... I'm really looking forward to it :-)
Well, it is actually my aunt's home. We usually have Thanksgiving at my mom's (Grandma to my daughter) but her bathroom is in the middle of a remodel and not very functional.
My contribution-green bean casserole. Not a particular favorite of mine, but quick and easy.
It will just be our family for Thanksgiving here at home. We did get an invite and would have accepted but my we have a commitment to clean our local rest area twice a day.
Baby Aaron is recovering from bronchitis so I thought that was a GOOD excuse to not have to endure Ryan's restaurant and get a few hours to myself.
Aaron and I cozied up on the couch with a pot of green tea, a freshly made-from-scratch brownie with chocolate chips and watched the parade (FFed over commercials) and had a wonderful, peaceful time. My husband said the older boys pigged out on cookies, cookies, ice cream and more cookies... Oh and the middle one at mashed potatoes... I guess a good time was had by all :-)

At Grandma's...
We won't be going over a river (although there's one nearby! ;D) but we will be heading to my grandmother's house for the afternoon. :)
Katie, I know you'll have fun! But I can't believe I read that right... I thought you were the mom who didn't believe in germs! ;)
A germs...
Germ theory... just a theory LOL
