
It's Friday! Yay! We love having the weekends together as a family. A break from weekday jobs and homeschooling is welcome... and the fellowship at church is refreshing! :)
Last Friday, I made this salmon feta pizza. I'll get the exact recipe typed up later, but basically I used my homemade crust and topped it with red sauce, mozzarella cheese, sliced onions, crumbled feta cheese, and chopped Lox (cold-smoked salmon). It was really quite good, although it doesn't beat our favorite toppings of turkey pepperoni, pepperoncini peppers, and feta cheese. :)
I re-warm the leftover pizza slices by placing them on a cookie sheet in the oven and then turning the oven to 375 degrees and timing for 10-15 minutes. If the pizza crust wasn't too browned during the initial baking, the re-warmed leftover pizza has a perfectly tasty crispy crust. :)
Homemade pizza is an easy meal for Friday nights after a busy day preparing for Sabbath and the weekend! :) If you're making pizza tonight, what toppings are you putting on yours? :)

We did pizza night a little
We did pizza night a little earlier this week due to having company. We had 3 kinds. One was chicken and pinapple with mozzerella. Next was homemade beef salami (made by Buck and Judy Fisher!) and mozzerella. The last was feta, bell pepper, mushroom, olive, and mozzerella. Yummy!

I'm not making pizza tonight, because I waited until the last minute and promised to make some fresh bread tonight for a lunch tomorrow. But my favorite toppings are fresh mozzarella sliced super thin and giant pepperoni slices!

I'm making spinach feta
I'm making spinach feta pizza...and also a tomato basil feta pizza. I thought about putting rosemary in the crust....still thinking on that though.
We have a few favorites
Shrimp pesto pizza is always a hit (shrimp, pesto, mozzerella and parm cheese then top with fresh basil)
We also enjoy bbq chicken pizza which I make with leftover roast chicken, bbq sause, cheddar and purple onion.
My son's favorite pizza is one he invented and named the man meat pizza...sausage, pepperoni, ham and any leftover bits of meat from the weekly meals.

I have a question, do you observe Sabbath on Sunday or Sundown Friday to Sundown Saturday?

Feta & Black Olives
We put feta and black olives on all pizzas.
Pepperoni pizza? Add feta & black olives. Chicken pizza? There too. Spinach pizza? Tasty with feta and olives.
Now I want pizza for dinner!

Funny how tastes change - up
Funny how tastes change - up until 2 months ago, I detested pineapple on pizza. Then I had this combination at a birthday party and fell in love. Green olives, pineapple + small pieces of broccoli. Something about the saltiness of the olives with the sweetness of the pineapple and the earthiness of the broccoli = vegetarian perfection in my books.
I also learned that soaking the broccoli in water, before putting it on the pizza means that it is not dried out hay when you eat it.
