It's probaly like a poor man's beef stroganoff, but it was one of my favorites growing up. My hubby prefers it over rice. I love it that Tammy uses a homemade white sauce base instead of the MSG laden cream of mushroom that was in my childhood recipe. But mushrooms saute'd with the onions/garlic mix would be good! I also add a big plop of sour cream to the mix, and that adds some nice zip & creaminess as well.
