Unusually snowy

Our Weber Q grill... covered in snow!

Joshua brushed several inches of snow off his Weber Q grill Saturday evening, and grilled us some yummy chicken. Are we the only crazy folks who like to grill year-round? I'm thrilled that Joshua is always willing and happy to grill food for us whenever I ask! :)

About 24 hours later, the grill was again covered in snow. A lot of snow! At least, an unusual amount of snow for here. Anyone want to make some snow ice cream with me? (I've never tried it but it sounds easy! haha)

Looking out our windows towards the hills... such a serene view, it's hard to believe that Seattle is only a few miles down the road, on the other side!

I'll be back later today with a giveaway, and tonight with a kitchen tip. I need to get some chores done while Joshua is outside playing in the snow with the boys. :)

We grill year round too

We do it here in Texas but for years we did it when we lived in Alaska. A grilled steak just tastes better at -40. :-)

Lovely!

I love the snow! I have so many memories of making snow cream with my mom. We loved it!

The first snow of the season

The first snow of the season my boys look forward to snow-cones, literally! We fill a dessert bowl with snow then pour some juice over it and have homemade snow cones! We'll have to try ice cream someday!

The snow is CRAZY!

We never get snow like this around here. I think the last time was in the early 1990s! My oldest son had LOVED playing in it. My youngest (who is only 17 months) isn't so sure of what to make of all the cold white stuff. Plus I have him all bundled up so he can hardly walk. Brother's old hand me down winter clothes are still a smidge big!

Year round in Canada

We live in northern Canada... and we bbq year round too!

Beautiful View

Wow, your view is beautiful! And yes, we grill year round as well. My husband even offered to grill some chicken durring a blizzard this week - lol. We live in SD and if we don't grill when its cold out then we wouldn't grill for half the year. :)

I think I'd take that snow

I think I'd take that snow over the crazy ice back in Ohio! Our tiny little town has been frozen for the week, and there's more ice on the way! We're supposed to get snow today too.

So far, we haven't lost power, but there are over 50,000 people in a neighboring county still without power. I couldn't imagine having to spend the week before Christmas (and possibly even Christmas day) in a shelter :(

I agree that you have a beautiful view. A little bit nicer than Ohio, I bet ;)

Gorgeous View

What a gorgeous view you have! Glad to hear you all got settled into your new house.

Thanks!

Thanks for the link, Tammy! It sure is sweet of you. We love the unusual amount of snow we're having too. Although we always get some around this time of year over here in Yakima, it's almost never like this!!!

Beautiful!

That is a beautiful view you have!

Here in Indiana it's been ice, sleet, & freezing rain.
Now the temps are rising so it's just rain, & mud. Ick.
