Kitchen Tip Tuesdays

My "tip" for the week? Packing up our kitchen takes a lot longer than I thought. Maybe moving in a week was a crazy idea after all! I'm just thankful for the many people who have been willing to take things off our hands as we downsize, and the others who have been helping us wrap things up here.

To participate in Kitchen Tip Tuesdays: Post a kitchen tip in your blog, with a link to this post. Then come here and add your name, tip subject, and URL to this post! Links must be family friendly, as always. If you don't have a blog but would still like to share a tip, just leave a comment here with your tip! Everyone's ideas are appreciated. :) Note: Please link to your individual post, not your blog's main/front page! Ask me if you have questions; links that don't go to an individual post will be deleted. Please, no giveaways since they "expire" and this is for timeless kitchen secrets! ;) Thanks for participating! :)

We have moved many times over the years. Our last move was on very short notice. It is time consuming! I hope you have a great move. I am sure you will be thankful when it is over!

I am with you on packing up the kitchen. We are moving across town on Saturday (not even close to across the country, I know). I've been steadily packing up the house and I spent all day yesterday just packing up the kitchen. I had no idea that I had that much stuff in there.

Best of Luck to you!

Hi Tammy,

The best way that I found to dice Carrots that I used in a proffesional kitchen. Is that I peel the carrot as you did and then cut the top and bottoms off. Then after that I take the carrot cut it in half take the bottom half and slice it long ways into 3 or 4 and they should look like cards when you stack them together then I slice them again and then dice into medium or large dice for whatever you are making.

In Christ, JC

One thing i would advise you, is although the kitchen is th most likely place to start, it is much easier to do it last as otherwise it is hard to function in those last days you are home!

Tammy! Congratulations on the job and the move. What an exciting time for all of you. When I read about you packing up the kitchen, the picture that popped in my mind was all the canning you've been doing. I can't begin to think about packing up all those jars, YIKES!

Good luck and God Bless. I know you're going to be so busy, your family is in my prayers.
