I allowed Yehoshua to very carefully sit on the couch and take this picture of Ruth and me! This was the first time I have ever let him use our camera.
I had put Ruth in my mei tai so that we could get the house cleaned up before Sabbath started. :) I really love the mei tai, and mine is a homemade one (a gift from my friend Ruth back before I had a baby named Ruth!) which makes it extra special. :)

When Ruth was a newborn (maybe about 6 weeks old) I was able to sit her in the mei tai sideways, with both feet sticking out one side, and pulled tightly enough to keep her snug. Now she's a big girl and faces me. :)

He did a good job! :-)
Little man takes better pictures than me. :-)
Ruth will be walking before you know it. They grow so fast.

He did a wonderful job -
He did a wonderful job - even catching his own cute feet :)
I love your mei tai and
I love your mei tai and would love to try one sometime. I have an Ergo which is worth its weight in gold. My three youngest take turns riding along.

How darling!
You all are so photogenic! You might have a professional photographer on your hands!
What a wonderful memory!
This is definitely a photo to keep! It is perfect that he got his own, little feet in the picture!
Couldn't help leaving a comment:
Ruth is soooo cute!
How sweet!
What a great shot with the feet in it! I can tell you've lost weight. ;-)
Hi Tammy!
I love those feet in the picture, too. I never tried a mei tai, but we have a backpack carrier similar to the Ergo. I love it. It helps so much to keep a baby out of trouble and happy and still have your hands free.
Just wanted to say hello!
Lovely pics and Yehoshua did
Lovely pics and Yehoshua did well! :) I have not ever tried a wrap, but I do have an ergo, which I really like!! I wanted to sew up a wrap when baby was younger, but never got around to it, maybe next time. LOL ~Tanya - mama to 5 :)
AWW. Cute! Ruth looks like

Cute!
I just gotta say that youhave got the cuuutest kids! That little Ruth should be a Gerber Baby! Or... better yet you should market your own brand of gourmet baby food with her picture on it!! I'd buy some =0)
Take Care,
Stefani
Love it!
I love the feet in the picture! That's so cute! He did a good job taking that picture. Thanks for sharing it with us!!
you two are too cute!
Your girls are lovely!!! That baby is just precious! Thanks for sharing!
Shorty
I think pulling Ruth's hair
I think pulling Ruth's hair back in a clip makes her look older. :) Cute as usual.
What a doll!!
Those little feet of Yehoshua's are darling in that photo : )
We have a 10 month old daughter and she is 23 lbs. I have not found a comfortable way to wear her as of yet. That mei tai looks like it has good back support. May I ask if you think it would work for a 23 lb. baby...and up? They do grow up so fast. We have 3 older daughters. And now Ella is beginning to walk! I already miss the her being so small.
Blessings,
Lori Starks
The mei tai does work well
The mei tai does work well for 20+ lb babies, as the wider padded straps spread out the weight. :) In general, the wider the straps, the better the support. I haven't tried very many carriers though. I know there are other types that are probably just as good or maybe even better for big babies, but I do love how easy th mei tai is to use. I was able to put it on quickly and easily withv ery little practice, so it's perfect for taking to the grocery store. :)
I weighed Ruth on our digital bath scales a few weeks ago, and she was 18 lbs. She feels light in the mei tai. :)
Sabbath
I was wondering about the Sabbath and how you observe it? Is it like an orthodox Jewish observance when you don't use electricity and stuff like that? Just curious because I am always interested in spiritual observances.
Here's a post I wrote about
Here's a post I wrote about the Sabbath a while back. :) We are not Orthodox, and we do use electricity. :)
So cute! Emily

Such a cute photo
He did such a good job-maybe it's time to buy him his own camera? We bought one for our 6 year-old when she turned 5 and she loves it-it doesn't take too bad of pictures for a kid's camera either. It's a V-Tech Kidizoom camera and it lists for about $60 but we got it after Christmas for $24 at Target.
Thanks for sharing his photographic endeavors!
Ruth is really getting big-she's such a doll baby!
happy
You both look so happy! Yehoshua did a fantastic job taking his first picture.
Blessings,
Trixie
