I chose "mostly wife". :) Joshua does like to cook, but his other responsibilities generally keep him from doing as much as I do in the kitchen. :) At least once a week, he cooks something -- frequently that "something" is a new recipe of some sort. ;) Other times, I ask him to grill something for the meal, but the grilled meat is usually only a small part of the rest of the meal... which I made. :)
I chose "mostly wife" as well.
Although the kitchen is usually known as "my domain", my husband, Chris, does venture in there once in a while to surprise me with a home cooked meal. He usually makes some sort of steak with pasta or potatoes as a side dish. It seems I have yet to convince him of the merits of green veggies although he does eat them when I put them in front of him ;).

I voted "my chldren" because they do all the breakfast and lunch cooking. About 4/7ths of the evening cooking is mine. The childen and my hubby do the other 3/7ths. BTW the children that cook are 15 yob, 13 yog, 11 yog. What a blessing it has been to have them take this over. Not just a blessing for me, but also for their future spouses.

OK, I voted wife, my dh is rarely in the kitchen and if so he might just help with frying up some eggs, otherwise, it is just me for now. Someday soon I'll have my girls in the kitchen too. ~Tanya - mama to 5 :)
All except the grilling...
I'm the main cook around here, except when it comes to the grill. I have never grilled anything in my life and I love those evenings where my husband takes care of the meat and all I have to do is make something to go along with it. :)
Odd one out
I'm an odd one out. My husband does most of the cooking in our house. I CAN cook, but he loves to cook. He's a very creative cook and he enjoys it.
Mostly wife...
I debated on this one. My husband cooks frequently but we go in "spurts". I do the cooking most of the time, but sometimes he cooks for a week or two. And his meal choices are always umm..."interesting". Spaghetti and macaroni and cheese in the same meal anyone? :)

"mostly wife" because my mom cooks most of the meals. My dad does the majority of the barbecuing, so in the summer, it would be "shared equally." I do meals fairly often, too (more in winter than in summer because I don't know how to use the grill!), but my mom and I usually do them together (one doing a salad while the other does the meat, that type of thing). So, "mostly wife." :)

My hubby is the one that does most of the cooking in our house. Due to my work schedule it makes it much easier and healthier for every body that way. Thankfully, God blessed him with a gift for it and he really enjoys it. :)

The only time my husband cooks is when I am sick, which isn't too often, PTL !!! There are only two things he makes, grilled cheese and tomato soup, and fried eggs. About a year ago I had strep. After day three of Dad's cooking I heard one child pray over the dinner table, " Please God, help Mom to get well so we can have some good food." The next day, I was determined to fix a meal , especially for my little ones...who aren't so little!

I chose mostly wife because I do the majority of the cooking. But, on special occasions, my sweet husband is the Grill Master!!! He also is a Blender Beast and creates the most awesome ice coffee drinks for me.
This poll makes me think about how much I can thank God for my awesome husband! Thanks for posting it.

Hello!
I chose wife. Which, thankfully works out okay becuase I love to cook, grocery shop and plan menus. My husband will grill the meat once in a while if he doesn't have a late night. And, i get a break from cooking when we get take out.
My husband thinks the refrigerater is filled by magic little "food faries" that also cook his food. LOL! He is too funny:) but he is also very thankful to have a wife that delights in whipping up something yummy in the kitchen.

I'm THE COOK in our house. But my wonderful young husband is the official cheese grater (when he's home) but he gets home at or near suppertime most days, so I'm the cook. I'm a stay-at-home wife (and full time student, but not during the summer).
I really love to cook, and experiment, and he loves to eat and isn't picky.
I've even got him liking vegetarian burgers :^P
It probably helps that we'd been married less than two months when I first served them a month ago.
It certainly doesn't bother me that I do the cooking, it's such a pleasure to be able to serve my husband this way (especially since my mother-in-law had the job and was his favorite cook for so long. :P yeah, I'm a tad competitive and territorial, lol!)
making dinner is my favorite time of the day, because it's when I prepare for *HIM* to come home :)

My husband does grill and serve an occasional meal to the family, but I've usually done the prep, I.e. marinating meat, etc.

I probably should have voted me because Hubby is deployed and right now it is only me that cooks. When he is home though he enjoys cooking. He likes to help me when he can and dinner time here is pretty busy so he has been helping out in that area alot when home.

I chose single mom/adult household because I am widowed and still raising my kids...but when my husband was alive I did all the cooking with some prep by him....I really miss those days..a full house to cook for....he did any bbq. and he always made tuna sandwichs on sunday for lunch after church ...giving me a rest...Today I will cook a big pot of spaghetti sauce and my adult kids will come over with containers to take some home...I only know how to make it in large quantity...DonnaKelly
