We're missing our friends, but we're enjoying some fresh organic grains from their farm in Iowa! Abigail's family owns an organic farm, and when I found out that she would be coming to visit us, I ordered some of their delicious 7-grain cereal.

We love oatmeal, as well as our whole wheat cream of wheat, and eat both frequently -- even in the hot summer months. But the 7-grain cereal is my favorite because of the mixture of flavors! And I know that getting a variety of whole grains is even healthier than just oats or just wheat. :)

Abigail's generous family tucked in a few extra things for us -- including some steel cut oats and some 7-grain flour. I love grains the way Joshua loves a good steak. I can't wait for breakfast! :)

I have some 7-grain but it doesn't look as fresh and pretty as that!

I feel very blessed... the grains were milled just the day before I received them! :)

Just curious, do the Paul's Grains links work for everyone else? I get a "403 Forbidden" page when I click.

Hello Ruth, I can see their page through the link on Tammy's website (right column). Is it still not working for you? Have you tried directly linking? http://www.paulsgrains.com/

Hmm, no, I can't. I'll chalk it up to being outside the US. There are a few other sites that do the same thing for me.Oh well, was just curious!:-)

:( Sorry, Ruth... I just tried all the links and they're working for me... :( I suppose you can console yourself with the fact that shipping grains to Australia would be ridiculously expensive... ;)
7 grain cookies
It definitely isn't as healthy, but that 7-grain mix makes great cookies. I make them just like oatmeal and substitute the 7 grains for the oatmeal.
