This morning, I brushed my hair and put it into one big braid rather than the usual pony tail. Yes, I'm that stylish!
Yehoshua watched me as I braided my hair, and I asked him, "Do you know what this is, Yehoshua?"
He said, "Yes. A braid. Grandma does that. It's just like challah!" :)

Braid
That looks so pretty. I haven't gotten inventive w/my bread yet. Just simple loaves.
Beautiful loaf!
That is so neat! I've gotta try that sometime! I watched the 6-braid video, doesn't look too hard if you concentrate and don't get confused! :) I've never seen it done before.
That's so funny what Yehoshua said. Cute!
Instant Oatmeal recipe
Tammy, coming out of lurkdom to share this recipe with you - I saw your post about the instant oatmeal packets, and I knew I had to share this one with you - You don't put it in packets - you scoop it out from an ice cream bucket. I usually double or quadruple this to make it last for our family of six.
Instant Oatmeal
4 cups quick cooking oats
1/2 tsp cinnamon (we like more)
2/3 cup instant powdered milk
1/2 cup chopped dried apples (or other fruit)
Toast quick cooking oats in a 300 degree oven for 20 minutes. When cool add remaining ingredients. Store in airtight container. Pour boiling water over mix in a bowl and stir. Wait 1 minute before eating. You can also put mix in a bowl with cold water and microwave to heat and eat. This is a great kid helping project. Combinations vary but here are some ideas for some flavorful additions: cherries and almonds; bananas, pineapple, coconut, and cashews; apples, peaches, pears; raisins, craisins and cashews, etc.
How cute :)!
