Enjoying Spring

Diapers in the breeze...

It's Spring!!! Finally!!! :) It seemed as though it would never stop snowing here in NW Ohio... and then it seemed as though it would never stop raining!

Finally, some good wash days. The wooden clothes rack in my living room has been stashed away for next winter, leaving some lovely empty space beside the couch. :)

I have been gleefully hanging my laundry outside. Yehoshua and Eliyahu are all-too-eager to "help", and just don't want to come inside. Ever. I even fold all my laundry out there while I take it down as they play. It's still not long enough. :)

Thankfully, both boys are old enough (2 and almost-4!) to behave nicely out there while I work. In the past, there was always one child who refused to listen about staying in our yard/nearby, so this time of "maturity" is such a blessing! Next year, Ruth will be 1 and I'll probably be chasing after her. ;)

This picture of my diapers flapping in the breeze makes me so thankful. Oh, I'm thankful for my diapers, as they were all sent to me from my Heavenly Father in various ways and through various friends... But mostly I'm thankful because that line full of diapers means I have a little one to cuddle and kiss.

My sweetest babykins
I love her.

Ruth is so beautiful!! How early in the day are you hanging out your clothes? Do your shirts ever loose shape when line dried? That happened to me last summer and I ended up sticking them in the dryer to get their shape back.

Thank you! :)

I have been trying to get the laundry hung out by about 9am. Ideally I can get a load put in the washer before we go on our walk and then hang it out when we get home. :) On hot summer days, I sometimes wait longer since it dries more quickly, but this time of year it takes 6 hours to dry (or so)...

If our shirts lose their shape, it's probably just that we're used to it, since I never notice... I do sometimes use 3 clothes pins on extra wide or heavier shirts (hanging from the bottom).

Even whem mine were so little, we in So Cal have fences around our yards, so my little ones had a limited playspace. When I look at yards with no perimeter, I am so puzzled! I could always let my little ones play outside, there was a fence and I could see them from the windows in the house if I needed to go in...

I think too many people live in their houses but not in their yards or in their neighborhoods. Kids don't play outside, ride their bikes in the neighborhood, nothing. I must say that's something I'll look for when we buy a house--I want to be able to live around my house and not just in it.

we live in an age where children are taken from their front yards. Children are taken off their bikes in their own neighborhoods.

I wouldn't let my child ride their bike around the neighborhood without me. And we live in a "safe" area.

I only let my children out if I am w/them. growing up I was able to ride my bike down to my friend's hois a use, around the neighborhood and my parents didn't even blink. All I had to do is be back by dark. (this was in the summer of course) And they knew where I was too.

I'm not saying that to be critical, but just to say I don't know if there is a home out there where we could allow our children to be children.

I love seeing clean laundry hanging outside in the sun. For some strange reason, it makes me feel good and perfectly contented !

Ruth gets sweeter and prettier with every new picture :)

She has such a beautiful smile! Congrats. :)

We had a lovely warm weekend so I got to hang some laundry outside. Monday it was really windy and no matter how I hung them, things were blowing off the line...so I went back to using my dryer. lol

She looks like a perfectly contented baby. :)

The hubby just got our clothesline up the other day and I can't wait until I'm able to hang my laundry up!! There is such a contented feeling to being able to watch your clothes dry on the line. :)

Ruth is so sweet!

I am envious of you! Here in Northern Michigan they're predicting rain mixed w/ snow for the next couple of days. Ugh! I am so ready to stop hanging clothes in the basement and get outside...but it's not looking good for at least another couple of weeks!

Hey Tammy, I like those diapers hanging on your line. LOL
I especially like that beautiful little girl that keeps getting cuter every picture.

I got my laundry out too. Even though it was cool, it was windy. Good laundry drying day.

We're in the process of buying a house and every house I look at I try to figure out where we would install a clothesline. I can't wait!

Your daughter is too beautiful to be real! And I am starting to see how she favors you, Tammy! You must be so proud of your sweeties!
