And the cleaning is done... for now!![]() I love a clean house! It never stays very clean, though. :) I kept very busy today and enjoyed seeing my very dirty house start to sparkle. ;) I went to bed extra early last night (8 pm) so that I could get an early start. Amazingly, the children didn't wake up until 6:30 am, and I had already taken a shower, made breakfast for Joshua and myself, done a load of laundry, and cleaned the porch! :) Ruth napped and the boys colored together while I dusted. I even dusted the top of the fridge! It was really dirty up there. Yuck! ![]() I thoroughly cleaned the bathroom, and Joshua helped me come up with a solution to the do-it-yourself potty issue with Eliyahu. We put a child-protector-thingy on the bathroom door knob. Eliyahu can actually still open the bathroom door by himself, but it takes him a couple seconds, during which time I can put Ruth down and go to help him. :) ![]() We had oven-roasted chicken for dinner. Now, I have some yummy leftover chicken meat to use in casseroles this week! :D The roasted chicken is also a very quick meal to prepare, which was what I needed if I was going to get the house in order this morning! :) And, that's all the pictures I took. Some of my to-do list will be carried over for tomorrow, but I am thankful to be walking on clean floors, using a clean bathroom, and playing on piano keys that don't leave my fingers all dusty! :) You got alot done in a short amount of time. Coolbeans! Oven roasted chicken sounds yummy! I may have to make that once we get back from our mini trip to Texas! :-) Blessings! We clean every monday & the neighbors moved out & left us their extra mop, then I bought kiddie ones for my daughters & brooms. Now we all sweep, mop, dust, wash windows & doors together every monday. I actually look forward to doing the work with them on mondays. They'd probably cry if I did it without them. I usually spend the time trying to nicely say "sweep it out of the room, mop all the room, dust over here, good job" They are 6, 3, & 18 months! (we have hardwood floors) It probably takes 1 1/2 hours but it is so fun! And they get huge priviledges when we're done. I'd probably give out ice cream if they'd ask. It is rewarding to know you have gotten things done on your to do list!! Sounds like you had a great day, we were able to accomplish a few things in the afternoon too. The house looks so much better now. :) ~Tanya Thats great! i was wondering how it would go. It's not so simple with a new baby! I'll be doing that all over again soon! Today my project is to wash all the things I dont normally wash, like the shower curtain and my house curtains and all the comforters. Yesterday, I took Crystal's challenge too and it was nice to get so much done..(but, I still didnt mop my floor-for some reason I just loathe doing that) Its so neat to see pitures of your house now, because Im always thinking.."I've been there!" Hey Tammy... I've just been sitting reading and reading your posts, trying to catch up! Ruth is precious - she looks like a sweetie and the boys are getting so big! Glad to see that you are all doing well. Just wanted to say "hi" and let you know that I think about you even if I don't leave comments or visit a ton! :) Post new comment |

Well done, it's so nice when the house is clean. I don't know how you manage with three little children :)
I'm so glad you talked about dusting the top of the fridge, I realised as I read that I've completely forgotten to do mine ever since we bought it a couple of months ago! Oh dear. I'll have to ask my husband to do it tonight, because I'm too small and can't reach (our fridge is huge!,well by european standards anyway!)
