Building a snow man...
Yesterday, Joshua took the boys outside to build their first snow man. They loved it! We used old canning jar lids for the eyes, because we couldn't find any stones. We didn't have a hat, but Joshua gave the snow man some eyebrows! Joshua used red food coloring to make the mouth visible... and then they got the idea to add some teeth! ;)
They built the snow man right outside the boys' bedroom window, so they can look out at it all day. It has entertained them quite a bit!
So, it's cold and snowy here. I've been baking, but haven't taken any pictures for a few days. I'm hoping that after some sleep tonight, I'll feel more energetic tomorrow! :D

I love the snow!
Wow! I haven't been in snow like that for years. It looks beautiful. I love it when it sticks to all of the tree branches.

I have never been in snow like that. I live in georgia and its been around 60 degrees most days lately. Its down in the 30's tonight and we thought it was really cold!Our weather is crazy alot though. yesterday here there was stormy weather and a tornado, today there were snow flurries.

It sure looks like they are having fun. I think that's a very impressive snowman. Starfall.com has a free activity for children to "build" their own snowman on the computer. Starfall is a wonderul reading site that children love. Your little ones are almost old enough to try something like that, especially your older son.
But real snowmen are much better!
How Fun
We got the chance to get out yesterday as well. I went over to my moms so she could watch my baby (well he is one and half he only likes the snow for so long) so me and the older ones could build a snow man.. it was SO much fun, we built a dog too (it looked more like a sheep)
they made a perfet snow man ( your boys and husband). what a beautiful "scene".
I can say that as pretty as the snow as yesterday, I really am ready for the SUNSHINE! :P

Yard and ladder...
The yard in the picture isn't our yard; it's our neighbor's. The snowman was built at the edge of our yard, beside the house. :) I think the ladder is just a decoration! :)
I can't imagine not finding
I can't imagine not finding stones outside. Here we are always looking for a spot where there are none! :D

That's a huge snowman
It feels so weird seing all these beautiful pictures of snowcovered gardens on blogs when over here it's so warm. I haven't seen snow in ages, I think I'm a little jealous!!

What would it be like to have enough snow to actually build a large snowman whenever it snows---although my kids made a small one last storm before they decided a snowball fight sounded more fun.
