How frequently do you clean out your fridge?

Comments

Oh Good!

After seeing the poll, I don't feel quite so bad now. : ) While I don't do a total fridge cleaning often, I do have alot of hungry little boys who eat up much of what I would have to throw out otherwise. : ) If anything gets left and forgotton long enough to get really gross, I ask my husband to do it since smell really get to my pregnant nose these days. : )

Someone doesn't have a fridge???

I'm shocked to see that someone doesn't have a fridge!

I'm surprised, too!

I feel like things are "out of control" when I haven't cleaned the fridge in longer than a week... I just like to know EXACTLY what's in there. I can't imagine waiting longer than a month to go through it and re-organize! :)

Perhaps the person who doesn't have a fridge is a younger person still living at home with their parents. Or a husband who never ventures into the kitchen! :)

I didn't think of that

Hey Tammy, I posted the post above yours before I signed up. Well young adults still at home, do still have a fridge technically. LOL about the hubby. I'm glad mine does!

I like this site! LOVE the recipes. Not as frugal as many on here is. At least not to some of the extremes on here. I like to save money, and clip coupons, but that's about it.

Oh, I answered I empty mine once a day. We either will eat what's leftover or it will be frozen, or throw out to the animals. (wild that is)

Menu planning day is perfect for fridge cleaning

If I take the time to sort through all the various leftovers in their containers, I might find enough treasure to assemble a casserole or a quiche or even something yummy to put in muffins.

It's not cleaning, it's treasure hunting. :)

Once a week

on the day before I do the food shopping. That way everything is nice and clean and there's plenty of room for the new groceries.
