Grilled burgers, yet again

Grilled burger sandwich

Dinner tonight (and last night): Joshua grilled burgers for me! They were SO delicious. 

And no, I didn't make that beautiful bun in the picture! I bought hamburger buns at the store yesterday. I just can't do everything I'd like to, and this was one of my shortcuts this week. ;)

Hamburgers are one of Joshua's favorite meals, but at dinner tonight, he looked over at me, smiled, and said, "Just one thing."

I said, "I know. Let's have something different tomorrow night." ;)

At least it seems like there are endless possibilities with a burger. Have you tried blueberries in burgers? I seen it in a Kraft Food & Family, I think, but haven't tried it yet. Sounds interesting though.

Fire up the Grill

That sure entices me to get out and start the ole charcoal grill tonight for a burger. That looks like something you would pay big bucks for at a restaurant. It goes to show how a little bit of prep work can make our meals look and taste so appealing.

Tammy, Have you come across

Tammy,
Have you come across a good recipe for Hamburger/Hotdog buns. Mine have never turned out the way the store bought ones do. I usually enjoy the differences between homemade bread (heavier/heartier) and store bought but for some reason I prefer store bought hamburger buns. Just wondering?

I'm not Tammy but............

I've got a couple recipes for buns. One is all white which my kids love because we never have white bread the other is half white and half wheat. I make the buns to use for sandwiches also. I have a great all whole wheat bread recipe but I've never tried making buns out of it. I just thought of that, now I might have to give that a try. :) Anyway let me know and I will give you the recipes if you would like.
