We all have probably, at some time or another, found a special short cut or easier way of doing things in the kitchen. Whether it's a quick and easy way to scour your sink, baking the best bread, a method for keeping your refrigerator spotless, or a favorite recipe, we want to hear your tips!
Here's how it works! If you have a blog, post a tip or idea relating to the kitchen. In your post, link back to this post. (Feel free to use my graphic, if you want, which has been an interesting, time-consuming new thing for me to do! ;D)
Then, come here and add your name (and topic) and the direct link to your kitchen tip post to this post, so we can read your tip! (Links must be family-friendly, as always.)
If you don't have a blog, you can still participate. Just leave a kitchen tip in a comment at the bottom of this post!

My kitchen tip for this week:
Use a whisk to mix the dry ingredients when making things like muffins, banana bread, pancakes, etc.
For muffins especially, you want to avoid over-mixing after the wet ingredients have been added to the dry. Using a whisk on the dry ingredeints assures that they are completely mixed, and you won't have to worry about ending up with lumps of baking powder or flour.
It's amazing how efficiently a whisk will combine dry ingredients, compared to using a spoon! For baked goods that don't use yeast, I almost always use my wire whisk for some or all of the dry ingredients. :)
