Husband's Favorite Cookie

Molasses Spice Cookies with Raisins

A few weeks back, Mrs. Wilt from The Sparrow's Nest posted about her husband's favorite meal (complete with recipes)!

These Molasses Spice Cookies with Raisins (pictured above) are one of Joshua's favorite cookies, and are also my father's favorite cookie! My mom has been making Molasses Spice Cookies with Raisins ever since I was a little girl (and who knows from how long before I was born!), and the past two weeks she has brought a few over to our house for me to pack in Joshua's lunch.

I love trading baked goodies, as we often give each other samples of what we've been baking. ;) (Only problem is that a dozen cookies for my family means we each get 5 or 6, and a dozen cookies at my mom's house means they each get 1.75!) ;)

Does your husband or father have a favorite cookie? If so, which kind? :) I've noticed that my husband tends to prefer cookies with raisins and I prefer ones with chocolate chips. ;)

During the coming weeks, I hope to blog more about "husbands' favorites"! :)

My hubby's favorite are probably chocolate chip.... but I think his real favorite is oreos and I haven't figured out how to make those yet.lol

My husband prefers raisins,

My husband prefers raisins, too. (YUCK!) I like chocolate chips. My dad is the same way. I wonder if it is a guy thing.

My Josh's Favorite

Here's my husband's favorite cookie. They're called Buried Cherry Cookies. I made it for the first time this year over Christmas and he fell in love - he says they tie with Chocolate Chip, and that's high praise!

My husband's favorite cookies...

...are Cherry Gems. There are marraschino cherry pieces and coconut in the cookie and an icing on top made with the marraschino juice. They are very unique and very pretty. I love the cookie dough but he usually eats most of the cookies ;). I'm not crazy about coconut myself, give me a chocolate chip cookie any day ;).

My husband's favorites . . .

are thumbprints with currant jelly and a close second of snickerdoodles. Leave it to him to find one of the few women in Southwest Virginia who's family grows currants. Divine intervention for sure! ;-)

My husband doesn't like cookies, but I sure do, and these look delicious! :) If I have the ingredients on hand, I'll be making them tonight! :)

Hubby's favorite cookies

My husband just loves cookies! I think his favorite is whatever I made last. He got a special cookie jar as a wedding present and I try to keep it full for him...that usually means a batch of cookies every other week or so.

He likes to take cookies in his lunch every day. On that note, is my husband the last of a dying breed? It seems like all the men he works with run out for fast food or something during lunch time. Is my hubby the last man on earth to carry a lunch pail? I like making nice goodies for hubby's lunch...plus it saves a lot of money.

Anyway, I made these cookies this week and boy, did they get rave reviews! Thanks for the recipe, my hubby loved them. Actually, he's loved every recipe I've tried from your site...thanks so much for that!

Fear not!

I have only been married about two years, but my husband always has a packed homemade lunch. It's been even easier since learning about Tammy's Recipes. Now I make a menu every week and always plan for lunches. My husband has loved all of Tammy's recipes, too!

Hubby's lunches

I also make a lunch for my husband and apparently this is rare at his work also. But a lot of the guys he works with aren't married.

Sometimes I send him a bunch of cookies or something and he shares them with the other guys. He says they are always very appreciative as apparently this is an unusual treat for them!

It feels so good to know we can do something to take care of our husbands and make their lives better. Not to say there's anything wrong with being single, but isn't it nice when your husband appreciates the things a wife can do.

Cookie favorites

Thanks for sharing about your husbands' favorite cookies! :D I don't always have cookies for Joshua's lunches, but I usually have either cookies or muffins. :) Baked goods never last long around here... if we have extras, we give samples to other people! :D
