Thanks to all the great questions you asked in this post, we made our first podcast! It was fun! You can listen to it here (right-click and save to your computer; file is almost 9 MB and is about 35 minutes long). Joshua and I discussed the questions beforehand, and we decided on the order we would use, but my answers weren't rehearsed (so pardon the pauses and... umm... things like that!). :) Thanks for listening! :)

Thanks for the instructions!
They were a great help. I've never downloaded a podcast until today. I'm listening to you and Joshua right now.
And you're right--those are lots of words to try to transcribe.
Thanks Tammy!
Happy birthday, from Australia =) You stayed up late to do this podcast! Thank you, and I hope we get to hear these more regularly, if shorter so they're not so consuming on your time!
Happy Birthday! Too bad we
Happy Birthday! Too bad we have dial-up or I would listen to the podcast ;)

Brandy, I'm so glad it worked for you this time!! I was waiting to hear from you to see if maybe it would work. :) I would actually love to have a transcript, since I know not everyone can download and listen, and it isn't as easy as reading.
Emma07, thanks! :) We're thinking of maybe shorter podcasts on various subjects (not such a huge variety!) in the future. :)
Samantha, I'm sorry. :( I asked Joshua about dial-up and he said it would probably take about an hour to download on dial-up. If we do more podcasts, we'll probably make them shorter! :)
ohhhh....
I'd love to hear it, but I'm afraid it will take to long to download! :( I'll have to see...

Usually only 25% of stuff I
Usually only 25% of stuff I do on the computer works, so I was so excited that I got to hear this with no trouble at all.
I amazed that you took my question so seriously and spent so much time on it.
I should confess that the question was not one that I originally thought up. When I was a very little 4 yr old I belonged to a dance troupe called, "The Sunshine Kids." My parents only had me in that troupe for about a month. I actually never asked my mom why they ruined my chances at fame, success and stardom, but I am guessing that they decided it was silly and cost too much. Anyway, one of the songs we sang and hopped (danced) to was, "The Chewing Gum Song." I still remember most of the words and the fact that the song never answered it's own question. This has bugged me for years. Does gum lose it's flavor on the bedpost over night? I will say that it does if it is stuck in your hair, but that is another story... :-D
Another song from those same days was, "The Popcorn Song," but I don't remember it asking a question. That song was a blast to dance to. Picture kids hopping around like pop-corn popping. So much talent!
I chew Orbit Gum and Trident, but I keep my mouth closed and the bubble-blowing and smacking to a minimum. I, also, try not to talk or laugh much when I am chewing as I have been known to have gum drop out of my mouth and onto the car floor. Gross! (No, I did not put it back in my mouth for you people who just thought that!)
I enjoyed listening to your podcast. You guys sound really smart, but your husband's voice is a little too scary-sounding. He probably wouldn't be very successful in politics in this day. My husband has a deep scary voice that instills terror in all who hear it, so I can relate. ;-)
Tammy, I really enjoyed this. You guys take care!
Oh, one more thing. I don't live in VT.
That was great!!
Tammy and Joshua,
That was a GREAT podcast! It was so clear and easy to follow, not to mention being full of wonderful Biblical teachings and encouragements. You have both been blessed in communicating in this way. The pleasantness (is that a word?) of your voices as well as the clarity of your thought processes both enabled you to deliver the views that God has sewn into your hearts. May He bless you (and us) with this format in the future. They will one day make a wonderful set of teachings to pass on to others, especially our daughter. I truly enjoyed listening while I knitted for my family. (I love to double-task whenever I can, especially in my relaxing time at night.)
By the way, many, many things on your website have been encouraging and a joy to read. My family has also been very blessed by the many new things I have learned to cook.
Thanks again,
Patty W.
What fun! ;-)
I listened to this last night (when I should have been cleaning since my DH was arriving home from training today) and loved it. Eventually I looked at the time and 30 minutes had passed and I was suprised! I guess I was all engrossed in the conversation...LOL.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts with the rest of us!
Love,
Dawn

Zan, you're hilarious! I knew your chewing gum question was supposed to be a joke, but hey, I figured I'd take all questions seriously. :) Also, I wasn't sure if you were from VT or NH, but I went with Ruth V.'s location since I thought you said you grew up with her or something. Oh well, with a question like yours, I didn't figured it mattered if we had your location exact. ;)
I don't think Joshua's voice sounds scary... that made me laugh! Joshua isn't scary in person though! :) Glad you enjoyed the podcast!
Patty, thanks for commenting! Good job on multi-tasking! :) I'm glad you enjoyed the podcast. Hope you guys are doing well! :)
Dawn, you're quite welcome! Thanks for listening! :) I'm glad it didn't seem too long to you. :)
I live in the last free
I live in the last free state in New England. j/k ;-)
I live in the MOST free state in New England: NH, but I did grow up in VT.
I don't think my husband's voice is that scary, either, but my sister's kids think he sounds like Darth Vader. I got him a Darth Vader mask to compliment his voice. I told him to wear it when our neices and nephew come over. It will keep them in line. ;-)
I just listened to your pod
I just listened to your pod cast. I noticed it last week but my life was very busy, more so than normal and I wanted to wait to listen until I could focus my attention on the interview. I enjoyed it very much and would enjoy any others that you decide to do.
