Using the last of the lotion

I'm so glad Frugal Fridays is back!! Here's my frugal tip for the week. :)

To get every last bit of lotion from the bottle, use a scissors or exacto blade to cut around the bottle.

Cover the bottom "cup" portion of the bottle with plastic wrap so it doesn't dry out before you get it all used.

I always do this with my lotion bottles. I have sensitive skin and can only use a couple different kinds of lotion (that I know of), and since they aren't cheap, I use every last bit!! :)

The Nature's Gate products, like the lotion you show, are great! They're pricey, but come in big bottles that last a long time. Good idea!

Used to think(as an unmarried) my mother was a bit compulsive when she did such as this but these days I use a paper clamp(the kind you squeeze with two flop-down handles...what are those called? lol) from the office supply store on the toothpaste(my kids will even cut the tube when it gets rolled to the top and scoop what hides in the neck) and cut containers to get the last bit of lotion or makeup or add water and shake to get the last of fabric softener and laundry or dish soap. Waste not/want not! :-)

I like Nature's Gate lotion; it's actually the only one I know of that won't cause eczema on my hands! :)

Anonymous, my parents used those paper clamps on the toothpaste tubes, too! Much easier than squeezing/rolling the tube each time! I should look to see if we have one around here to use... :) Never heard of cutting off the top of the toothpaste to get the last bit, but that sounds easy! :) Thanks for sharing!
