Seasoned ground turkey, formed into patties and grilled for a quick and easy spicy turkey burger

4 burgers

1 pound ground turkey (85% lean)
1/8 cup water
2 tablespoons minced onions
1 small garlic clove, minced
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1/4 teaspoon paprika

1. Combine all ingredients in mixing bowl and mix with hands until seasonings are evenly distributed. Allow to set at room temperature for about 10 minutes, or refrigerate for up to overnight.

2. Form meat into 4 patties. Grill according to grill instructions, just until done,* flipping patties halfway through grilling time.

This is my quick and easy turkey burger recipe. When I need a last-minute lunch (or even dinner!) I make these turkey burgers, which are simple to prepare and come out tender and flavorful every time. These turkey burgers are better than hamburgers, in my opinion, since I'm not a big fan of hamburgers, but I could eat these turkey burgers once a week!

The water in the recipe makes the meat soft and slightly tricky to form, but the meat is tender and moist when they're grilled! My rating: 9/10

10 stars for sure!
So much flavor, SO much better than the plain unseasoned turkey burgers we normally make. I'll never make the old ones again. This is a keeper for sure!

Can't wait to try this
I just bought some ground turkey today, was looking for ideas on what to do with it and found your site. This looks really good & easy. I'm definitely going to give it a try. Thanks!

mmm!
I made these with lean ground beef, since we found, in looking at the nutrition facts, that lean ground beef has less fat than lean ground turkey (unless it's breast, but that's more expensive than ground beef). I used the same seasonings (with a little less onion powder), and they turned out good! My Dad, who likes spicy food a lot (the rest of us do, too, but he does the most!), really enjoyed them. :)

spicy grilled turkey burgers
I tried these for the first time this week. They were wonderful. My two young boys liked them so much that they ate the leftovers cold the next day and then wanted more. These were great served like a hamburger, but I think I'll also try them as a pizza burger next time, with pizza sauce and mozzarella or provolone.

Delicious
These are very good, so good, that I don't mind them instead of normal burgers. I really like the taste of beef, so where these excell is not trying to totally mimic beef. Instead they have a nice, subtle flavor and are very tender. They are also much healthier and cheaper. Great combination, and seeing as my wife loves them and they make for hot, tender burgers I won't complain! Pick up some ground turkey and give these a try.
