I am excited to be able to share this recipe from one of my long-time friends, Nicole Seitler of Baltimore. When I approached her about submitting a recipe for this website, she enthusiastically agreed, and later emailed me the recipe and this photo of "the Seitler family's favorite meal": White Chili! This beautiful chili is economical to make and very tasty. :)
Nicole shares how she came about this recipe: "I originally found this recipe on Allrecipes.com, my favorite site, but I've tweaked it a lot to make it my own." I can't believe Nicole likes Allrecipes.com better than Tammysrecipes.com, but I'm glad she shared her recipe with us. ;)

Yay! What fun. So, did you
Yay! What fun.
So, did you try the recipe? If you did, did you like it? You are right when you say that it's an economical dish. That's one thing I love about it. That, and it makes enough to feed my family twice with leftovers for Travis' lunch! Yum. You are making me hungry. ;)
I've been a member of Allrecipes for five years now. You just started. ;) Give yourself some time and you might see me change my opinion on what my favorite site is. LOL! ;D
Hopefully tomorrow...
...I have the beans soaking, and am planning to try the chili tomorrow for lunch! I'll be sure to review it after we've eaten it :D It looks sooo good!! :D
yum!
I haven't made this particular recipe but I highly recommend it; it's very similar to my recipe, which is one of our favorite winter meals! :)
In addition to the ingredients Nicole listed, I also add some chickpeas and diced green chiles, and line the bowl with a tortilla instead of serving with chips.
Kate, you always have the neatest ideas!
I never would have thought of lining the bowl with a tortilla, but it sounds yummy! I like soggy tortillas! Isn't that funny? :)
Thanks!
Lining the bowl was my husband's idea, so I'll give him credit. :) It IS yummy; I like letting the tortilla "soak" for a minute, then cutting it up into the soup. De-lish!
oops
that was supposed to be a reply to Tammy. ;)
