Tammy's Review:

Banana bread for chocolate lovers! These delicious cocoa banana bread squares are topped with chocolate chips, which makes them pretty irresistable for someone like me. ;) I think this is easy to make and makes a great not-so-sweet dessert (though they are a little sweet, of course!). My rating: 9/10.

Yum!

I made these last night and they are so good! They are moist and just melt in your mouth. Just the right amount of banana flavor.

Do you think these could be made into muffins?

Yum!

What a nice change from banana bread or muffins. I saw this recipe tonight and just happen to have 3 very ripe bananas on my counter :) I made them and once they cooled, my husband and I tried them and LOVED them!
I did only use 1/2 cup of chocolate chips over the top, and it was plenty.
My boys are going to be excited when they see these in the morning. Thanks for a great recipe!

Wow! Delicious!

Ok, so I just had to try a slice as soon as they cooled and wow, this is absolutely delicious.. the combination of banana and chocolate is perfect. Moist, but really not terribly sweet, just the perfect balance. I love this dessert!!

Easy and Excellent!

I made this last week and took it with us when we went to visit company. I had assumed it might last the whole weekend. It was gone by Saturday afternoon! haha! It's easy to make, delicious, and pretty to look at. When I was making it, I thought that the 9x13 pan would be too big because the batter seemed to be spread pretty thin, but it came out perfectly!

Just like a banana split minus the ice cream

This was so good, I'm recommending it to others. We loved it.

really yummy!

My 9 year old and I made these banana squares today. Daughter enjoyed the baking process and enjoyed even more eating one! As a childcare provider, I am always looking for recipes that I can prepare WITH children that will also be enjoyed by the children in my care. This one is a keeper!

Banana goodness

We just love banana bread, muffins, cake, shakes, cookies...And this one is very good. I did have trouble getting half the batter to spread into a 9 x 13 so I put it into a 10 inch round, then added the second layer. Of course I had to bake it longer, about 40 minutes. What a delicious smell waiting for it to come out. This one did not let us down. Yummy!

Yummy

We loved this, and it stayed moist for 5 days! Although I have to admit I am surprised it lasted that long - I blame the lemon meringue pie.

This recipe was easy and delicious. The day after I made it company stopped in for coffee and I served it to them quite confidently - sending them home with the recipe.

I will definitely make this again!

Sweet and fun

A very nice twist on the normal banana bread/cake. This was SO easy to mix up, and easily met my sweet tooth's craving. :-)
